No one has been able to find out what their underlying agenda is for the seemingly very generous donation. The author is still seeking the answer to these questions posed to the UNCF:What strings are attached to the scholarships?

Did the Kochs make their donation contingent upon sitting their own reps on the review board?Can scholarship recipients pursue goals that run counter to the Kochs’ political agenda, like addressing climate change?

My comment on this article, "The more drugs and other ‘victimless crimes’ like prostitution are legalized, the less criminals, crimes and violence there will be. Imagine, less money for prisons, less destroying the lives of innocent people, less hypocrisy about what many of our otherwise stellar citizens do and less violence from fighting over who controls the drug industry. I just don’t see anything wrong with legalizing things that are going to be done anyway and are wreaking havoc on our society as illegal substances and activities. Don’t forget prohibition. That was a disaster to say the least."
