Neonicotinoids and other pesticides, as well as the varroa mite and nosema, have been posited as causes of colony collapse disorder.

Pollination is responsible for about 1/3 of food production. Colony Collapse Disorder does not explain why there is a crisis, it simply is a description that there is one.
